The status of what is published here
The service pages and the Insights articles describe how we approach work and are written to be useful. They are general information, not advice on your specific situation, and they cannot take account of facts we do not know. Nothing on this site creates a professional relationship or an obligation on our part.
Several pages touch on subjects that belong to other professions — intellectual property, product safety and machinery conformity, employment, tax and company transactions among them. Where we describe the landscape it is so you can judge whether you need a solicitor, an accountant or a safety practitioner. It is not a substitute for one, and we are not qualified to give legal or financial advice.
Engineering work
Any drawing, design, inspection or manufacturing work is carried out under a separate written engagement setting out scope, price, delivery and the standards applied. Where the suitability of a component depends on a duty we have not been told about, or on a specification we have inferred rather than tested, that is stated on the drawing and it forms part of the deliverable.
For components in safety-critical or load-bearing duty, the evidence required — material certification, traceability, inspection and any conformity assessment — is agreed in writing before manufacture. We will decline work where we do not believe that can be satisfied.
Accuracy
We take reasonable care that what is published here is correct at the time of writing. Standards, legislation and our own capability change. Where a page quotes legislation it does so as at the date shown on the page.

Where we link to another organisation's site, we do not control it and we are not responsible for its content.
Intellectual property in this site
The text, drawings and design of this website belong to AliKat Group Limited. You are welcome to quote from it with attribution and a link. Please do not reproduce it wholesale.
Liability
Nothing in these terms limits liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, for fraud, or for anything else which cannot lawfully be limited. Subject to that, we do not accept liability for loss arising from reliance on general information published on this site, as distinct from work carried out under an engagement.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales, and the courts of England and Wales have exclusive jurisdiction.
